I know it hardly ever happens that I'm writing more the twice in a week - very rarely indeed - but this thing just,... well... I don't find any words - this thing is just too crazy.
Imagine this:
You are working on a presentation for university, school, church - I don't know - and you're having a hard time preparing all the things you need to. You write down everything you want to say (Word document), you save the file, close the window, turn off the computer.
The day after you sit down again, looking at the document in which you wrote your words. It's exhausting - all you want to do, is get through it, be over it and finish.
You scroll down the page and find three words at the end of the page, which you absolutely cannot remember to have written down. You think back, try to remind yourself... and maybe you have indeed written down a short note in a moment of lacking consciousness, but the words are saying: Muddle through somehow.
Exactly! You ask yourself "What does muddle mean?", you don't even know that word...
The first thing you do is look it up in a dictionary and it says: sich (Akk.) durchwursteln (auch: durchwurschteln)
So you could translate this mysterios phrase the following way: Wurschtle dich irgendwie durch!
Who wrote that? Did I? I'm sure I didn't. And if I have, there's still the question where the word "muddle" came from.
Weird thing...
