Impulses

"Follow your impulses" - that's what Meredith (my personal hero (besides Iris)) said when she had to make a severe desicion. Following impulses does sound sane, but it might turn out to be the worst way to make choices. Following impulses makes people break up with the love of their life, it makes people quit the job they've always wanted, it makes them commit adultery, leave a country to get rid of the life they used to have, it makes people hurt the ones they love. And it makes people like you and me fools. So, remind me again: why do you want the worst and the unhappiest ending of the story that is supposed to have the best, happy ending - was it because you need to follow your impulses?!
