Just for the sake of comleteness a short review from last Friday's shopping journey:
The original plan was:
1. Surviving the school's Christmas event (without hot wine)
2. Going to the Picadilly English Shop
3. Going to the Christmas market, being happy we got over the past few weeks (including hot wine)
4. Being strengthend, getting the last few presents
Reality was like this:
1. We needed hot wine to survive the event plus we didn't see anything because there were huge people in front of us (on our seats). The result: we nearly fell asleep as we sat there leaning on the wall.
2. When my tube arrived at the 'Friedrichsbau'-station one of my completely drunk classmates was peeing in the bin (at the station! when the train arrived! when all the passengers could watch him!). And lo and behold!: he and his 3 drunk fellows simply had to accompany me to the Picadilly English shop where they embarrassed themselves immensely.
3. After Artur (who was not drunk) had taken them (he deserves my devoted thankfulness for that!) outside the shop and I had done the rest of my shopping I went to the Christmas market (like I intended). But the drunk men were so incredibly embarrassing that everything I (and the rest of my conscious fellows) thought was: 'I definitely do not know you, guys!' - so, I left the Christmas market (without hot wine).
4. Laura's mobile didn't work, so she left the city before we met again. And alone I would not have had any chance to survive a second 5-hour-tour through the crowded city - so, I left the city (alone by myself).
The moral of the story: 1. no more Christmas events (thank God it's been the last in that bloody school), 2. no more making arrangements with people who tend to be drunk (very often), 3. no horror shopping tour without Laura (or anyone else who is easy to deal with).
Happy Christmas! :)
